Tron Welch, AIF®, MBA, CFP® is the founder of Welch Financial Planning, LLC. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ and has achieved the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary®. The CFP® and AIF® are two designations which reflect Mr. Welch’s experience as well as his commitment to continuing education and fiduciary ethics.
Tron founded Welch Financial Planning, LLC in 2007 in his hometown of Boulder, CO. WFP, LLC is an independent financial services firm that develops and implements comprehensive financial planning and retirement planning, incorporating client goals, tax strategies, protective measures and investments.
He provides a customized, client-centered approach to help individuals, families, and small businesses achieve financial success. Tron takes pride in his ability to collaborate with his clients to develop strategies and solutions that are unique to their lives. As a fiduciary, Tron is dedicated to focusing on what is best for his clients. WFP, LLC offers fee-based financial planning services, further reducing potential conflicts of interest.
Tron’s enjoyment of the financial planning process extends to the classroom where he enjoys the opportunity to support a wide range of learners from financial planners interested in strengthening their practices to community members seeking to develop their financial acuity. Tron has been featured on Schwab Advisor Services IWI Advisor Panel Webcast, “Behavioral Best Practices for Advisors”. He has also taught financial workshops on the college level as well as through Boulder Valley School District Lifelong Learning. Hundreds of adults learners have attended his highly acclaimed workshops.
In his spare time, Tron frequents sporting events, travels with his family, does relief work with Team Rubicon and enjoys trail running. He has also participated in GORUCK events, both GoRUCK and TR benefit veterans. Tron enjoys the occasional adventure race, most recently the Zion Ultra.
His favorite travel memories have included sharing pastries with his three kids in a square in Paris and a family trip on the Chicago Fireboat where he and his wife held their rehearsal dinner 25 years ago.

Brad received his undergraduate degree in finance at Western Michigan University. After graduation he moved to Denver, CO where he has spent 12 years in corporate finance mainly working at CenturyLink/Level 3 Communications. His career was focused on the financial performance of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on results.
Brad has always been passionate about personal and business finances. He feels strongly that having insurance is an important tool to protect what you've built in your life and help ensure you meet your financial goals. As such, he offers customized insurance plans for a wide variety of both common and unique situations.
When he is not helping individuals with insurance, Brad enjoys snowboarding, hiking, travel, and spending time with his family. With 2 young children he is always active with youth sports, hanging out with friends, and engaging his children in life.
Lisa graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Finance and has worked and volunteered in financial services for over 20 years. She started her career in Arizona first as a Credit Manager for AmeriCredit then with Vanguard in their Retail Operations department. Before joining Welch Financial Planning, LLC in March 2018, Lisa worked for Scottrade (now part of TD Ameritrade) as a stockbroker and served on the pilot team of the company’s only virtual branch office.
With her financial services background and Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses, Lisa brings analytical skills, financial product knowledge, as well as a client-centered focus to our firm as an Associate Financial Advisor. She enjoys problem-solving and helping craft plans for our clients.
Outside of work, Lisa has served in leadership positions in two school PTAs, the Phoenix Women’s Board of Steele Children’s Research Center and currently as both the Membership Chair and School Spirit Store Chair with Monarch High School Booster Club. She enjoys long walks with her husband and two dogs, cheering on her two boys at baseball games and watching Friends re-runs with her daughter.
As our administrative assistant, Brittany Lopez brings with her managerial experience as well as a strong drive for customer service. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and travelling. She’s currently working on learning a bit of Japanese for her upcoming trip to Japan.
Patti has served as the Educational Outreach Director for the Boulder International Film Festival and the Executive Director of the ALS Association Rocky Mountain Chapter.
She is currently pursuing a master's degree in counseling and enjoys volunteering for the Boulder International Film Festival and TRU Community Care Hospice. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her two sons, hiking, backpacking and yoga.
